Found Sounds: Find# 5 – Unconscious Disturbance
Unconscious Disturbance is rooted in Sao Paulo, Brazil as far back as 1996, when drummer Daniel Freiberg and guitarist Patrick Caracas met and began playing together at the age of eight. Years later in 2005, vocalist Frederico Carneiro joined Freiberg and Caracas, and one of metal music’s best new acts was born.
Next Tuesday, Unconscious Disturbance’s debut studio album Mind’s Corner drops to the masses and will captivate you from beginning to end. Mind’s Corner is a refreshing prog-esque, jazz metal infusion that’s definitely worth a listen. They’ve been premiering new songs every week on AOL’s Noise Creep, so we’ll take some of those tracks that have already been released and post them below for you all to get hooked on. Mind’s Corner won’t be on any album of the year lists, but it sounds like the band is on the verge of something big. It will be interesting to see how much more their sound grows on their second release, which we’d like to think will be an epically produced BIG SOUND album. But we’ll just have to wait and see.
