News: Flight of the Conchords–Feel Inside (and stuff like that)

Don’t we all just wanna be bubbles?

Here are some things I love:
- Kids with freaking adorable accents
- People coming together musically to make a difference

So naturally, when I found these things combined, I was in my glory. New Zealand’s Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, better known to most of us as the hilarious duo behind Flight of the Conchords joined with Cure Kids to help raise funds for the foundation. As I’m not from New Zealand, I did some research and discovered that Cure Kids is a child health foundation devoted to raising funds to help research life-threatening childhood diseases and conditions. Not light stuff by any means. Despite the serious topic, in typical Flight of the Conchords style, humour prevails—in just the right way (they do say laughter is the best medicine right?) Bret and Jemaine interview the adorable young‘uns and ask them to help write lyrics for their charity song. As I’m sure you can guess, their answers are candid, insightful and sometimes downright genius! With thanks to the kids, Bret and Jemaine were able to write a song that not only is totally share-worthy, but incredibly effective at getting a serious message across in a unique way.
