Photos: The Strumbellas @ The Horseshoe Tavern

Toronto/Lindsays own The Strumbellas played The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern last Friday night and Beyond The Watch was there to capture their set. From the first hit of the acoustic guitar you could tell it was going to be a great show, as they quickly blasted into their songs stomping and hopping bare foot around the taverns beer soaked stage.

The fans were quickly tapped into by The Strumbella’s front man Simon Ward asking the crowd to wish a member of their band a happy birthday, that member was non other than David Ritter (piano, organ, percussion, vocals). As their set progressed, as did the fun… You couldn’t help but smile as you danced around in the very cramped space the fans had to work with amongst each other. As Simon asked the crowd to sing along to their hit song “Sheriff” you could literally see the excitement and the high he was getting as the crowd sang along…

“I’m not the sheriff, I’m not the sheriff here”

The night was wicked and a big shout out to the band for some great fun and great music. Check out the photos from the show below:
