Upcoming Gig: Coheed and Cambria @ The Mod Club

The anticipation is killing every Coheed and Cambria fan at the moment with their upcoming release “The Afterman:Ascension” having a release date of October 9th! That’s coming sooner than later and as a fan myself of Coheed and Cambria I can admit, It’s hard to patiently wait to hear the new album. It’s especially exciting because Coheed & Cambria will be playing in Toronto even before then! Their stopping through the city on September 20th to headline a show at The Virgin Mobile Mod Club (Live Nation ON) in support of the new album. Tickets are already SOLD OUT so hopefully you already purchased your tickets.

We’ve already had a little tease with their newest music video for the single “Domino The Destitute“… It’s already got over 500,000 views and is a video that you NEED to see if you haven’t already checked it out, watch below:

“The Afterman: Ascension” is the first volume of a remarkable new double album collectively called “The Afterman“.  Volume two, titled “The Afterman: Descension”’will follow in February 2013.  The storyline behind The Afterman double-album, depicts the life of celebrated cosmonaut/astronomer Sirius Amory, as he embarks on a journey into space, where he makes arguably the greatest scientific discovery known to mankind.  The first volume, ‘Ascension’, charts Sirius’ sci-fi journey into the stars of the alternate universe known well by Coheed fans as “Heaven’s Fence.”  The second volume, ‘Descension’, shows his fall back to his home planet and the not so warm welcome he receives, followed by a tragedy that unfolds from there.
