Photos: City and Colour @ Molson Canadian Amphitheatre

St. Catherine's Dallas Green and his band City & Colour sold out two nights in a row at Toronto's Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. I had the pleasure of photographing night #1 on June 17th for Edge 102.1 and I couldn't have been more stoked about it. I've been a long time fan of Dallas – since he was playing full-time in alexisonfire and naturally became a fan of his solo music more and more as he pursued it. With every release, he's evolved and become more rounded out as a musician and in my opinion; it just gets better as he goes.

I didn't get to stay for the whole show, but from what I saw, the band sounded incredible and were quickly banging out big hits like "Woman" and "Hello, I'm in Delaware". Unfortunately for me, the encore is where all the magic happened. I found out he performed a cover of The Tragically Hip's "Bobcaygeon" in honour of Gord Downie and it's where he busted out songs like "Save Your Scissors", "The Girl", and "Sometimes (I Wish)/No Ordinary Love".

Damn, I wish I could've stayed to watch the whole show #FOMO.

At least I got to photograph the beginning of their set and captured some of that magic reverberating from Green's guitar. You can see all of my photos below and stay tuned for more coverage coming at you from 102.1 The Edge.
