Kevin Abstract has recently unveiled the impending arrival of his third studio album, 'Blanket,' scheduled to drop on November 3rd under Video Store/RCA Records. The announcement was accompanied by a new cinematic teaser called "GUM," offering a tantalizing glimpse of the album's fresh musical direction. This revelation follows the recent release of the album's title track and Kevin's intimate live performances in New York City and Los Angeles.

The forthcoming album, available for pre-order, was crafted over a 3-month period in early 2023, primarily in collaboration with his long-time producer Romil Hemnani and multi-instrumentalist Jonah Abraham (known for Playboi Carti's 'Whole Lotta Red'). The creation process was a collaborative effort, involving both emerging and seasoned songwriters, as hinted by the involvement of young screenwriters and veteran music creators.

"I wanted to make, like, a Sunny Day Real Estate, Nirvana, Modest Mouse type of record, but I wanted it to hit like a rap album."
