André 3000 unveils his debut solo album, New Blue Sun, dropping this Friday, November 17, 2023. Spanning 87 minutes, this unexpected new release is set to showcase André's flute prowess, steering away from traditional beats and vocals (yes, you read that correctly). From what we’ve been able to gather, this album will feature an eclectic mix of contrabass flute, Mayan flutes, bamboo flutes, and digital wind instruments, the album offers tracks like "I Swear, I Really Wanted To Make a ‘Rap’ Album but This Is Literally the Way the Wind Blew Me This Time" and "Ninety Three ’Til Infinity and Beyoncé."

New Blue Sun will be André's first full-length release since Outkast's 2006 LP Idlewild, the album's genesis emerged from spontaneous collaborations with musicians like Carlos Niño, Surya Botofasina, and Nate Mercereau. New Blue Sun promises an innovative and experimental auditory journey, melding André's creativity with a new sonic realm.
