Best New Music This Week: Green Day, Upon Stone, Packs, And More

Every Friday, we challenge ourselves to sift through new music releases and curate a list of albums we think you should be listening to.

Leading the charge is the iconic punk trio Green Day with Saviors, their high-voltage return to form, followed by Upon Stone's haunting new album Dead Mother Moon. Toronto-based band Packs heats things up with the infectious energy of Melt the Honey, while Sleater-Kinney showcases their unyielding presence in the alternative scene with Little Rope. Rounding off our list this week is Seattle's Glass Beach, with their thought-provoking experimental album, Plastic Death and Toulouse-based psych-metal rockers SLIFT, whose latest album, Ilion combines cosmic explorations with the rawness of garage rock.

Tap your favourite music app, put those headphones on, and listen to some new music you hopefully discover for the first time. See below for this week's recommendations.
