Beyond The Watch's 50 Best Albums of 2025
It's that time of year again when everyone's social feeds are littered with friends, family, and industry folk sharing their Spotify Wrapped stats, leaving every Apple Music user suffering from severe FOMO. As the tradition goes, it’s now our turn to celebrate the sounds that defined 2025 for us.
Let’s be honest, these year end lists are a b*tch to put together, especially when your favourites shift day to day. At any given moment, this list could have rolled out differently, but c’est la vie; this is where we landed today. And yes, a 2014 album is on there, but don’t @ us, it’s not our fault the industry pressures to make our year-end selects well before the year is up. All that being said, this was a great year for music, whether you’re a fan of indie, hardcore, metal, hip-hop, experimental, or pop (or like us, all of them). Some heavy hitters came out swinging, with stellar releases from Geese, Earl Sweatshirt, Hayley Williams, Wolf Alice, Bon Iver, Dijon, and more. Special shout-out to the Canadian bands that made the list as well, The Beaches, The Besnard Lakes, Silverstein, and Foxwarren, with standout releases from the North.
Without further ado, here are the 50 Best Albums of 2025, according to us. Doomscroll through the list below and see all of our faves from the year.
