Listen to “Object of Pain” And “Death From Above” by Portrayal of Guilt

With nearly a decade of sonic alchemy behind them, Portrayal of Guilt have built their own world within heavy music. Across three boundary-shattering records, the Austin trio has consistently redefined what extreme can sound like, stringing together moments of chaos, catharsis, and dark beauty without compromise.

Their forthcoming album, …Beginning of the End, due out via Run For Cover Records, feels like a culmination of that journey. It’s punishing yet precise, immersive yet unpredictable, a record that channels the unrelenting aggression of their early work while opening space for groove, atmosphere, and avant-garde exploration.

Today, the band shares two new singles, “Object of Pain” and “Death From Above,” following “Ecstasy” and “Human Terror” released earlier this month. Together, these tracks offer a glimpse into the record’s experimental heart.

Both singles arrive with new visuals that complete their …Beginning of the End video trilogy, directed by Craig Murray. The trilogy mirrors the album’s descent into ruin and renewal, where surreal imagery meets the band’s most visceral material to date.
