Protomartyr have announced their new album Hotel Usona, arriving September 25 via Domino, and shared the lead single “Sounds We Cannot Hear.”
The track finds the band in familiar territory, with Joe Casey taking on the slow grind of modern life while the music stretches into something more uneasy and expansive. Recorded with Dave Fridmann, the album leans into a bigger, more textured sound, while still keeping the bleak edge that has always made Protomartyr stand out.
“Sounds We Cannot Hear” is a strong first look at where the band are headed next, and it feels like another sharp turn from a group that has spent the last two decades turning dread into something strangely compelling.
Protomartyr will support the album with a world tour this fall, including a Toronto stop at Concert Hall on November 7, get tickets HERE.
