Fontaines D.C. Announce New Album Dopamine Chamber and Share “Marianne”

Irish post-punk band Fontaines D.C. have announced their fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber, due October 16 via XL Recordings. The announcement arrives alongside “Marianne,” the record’s cinematic and atmospheric lead single.

The new album follows 2024’s Romance, which helped the Dublin-formed group reach a wider international audience. Once again produced by James Ford, Dopamine Chamber finds Fontaines D.C. continuing to expand their sound while maintaining the tension, urgency and emotional weight that have defined the band since their debut.

“Marianne” introduces the next chapter with an expansive arrangement and a darker mood. Its accompanying video was directed by Dave Meyers, known for his work across music, film and visual media.

Fontaines D.C. have not yet announced a full tour schedule in support of Dopamine Chamber, but fans who pre-order the album through the band’s official store will receive access to upcoming UK date announcements.
