Photos: Avenged Sevenfold at Rogers Centre

Last weekend, Toronto was overrun by thousands of heavy metal fans who were in the city to behold the one and only... Metallica.

The majority of fans wanted Metallica, yes. But the others were there to witness Avenged Sevenfold perform to their biggest Toronto show ever, at the Rogers Centre. A7X is currently touring in support of their latest full-length album The Stage, which they surprised fans with back in October (2016). Given that it was a surprise release, there's no better way to get people hearing the new music than touring the hell out of the new album as the special guest on Metallica's Worldwired Tour. But in all honesty, there's probably not another heavy band more suitable to speak to a younger fan base than A7X. Myself and what felt like thousands of fans were hyped on their set.

Check out all our photos from their set below and stay tuned for our Metallica photos coming at you real soon.

All photos were shot for Blare.
