Whitney Team Up with Madison Cunningham on Stunning New Single “Evangeline” Ahead of Small Talk Release

Whitney have shared their gorgeous and dramatic new single, “Evangeline,” featuring GRAMMY-winning songwriter and vocalist Madison Cunningham. The track marks the final preview of their forthcoming album Small Talk, arriving this Friday, November 7 via AWAL.
“Evangeline” sees the Chicago duo leaning into cinematic, orchestral textures with soaring strings and vocals that blend effortlessly between Julien Ehrlich and Cunningham.
“The most crucial moment of writing ‘Evangeline’ came when, after weeks of failed experiments, we leaned into the theatricality of the chorus,” Ehrlich explains. “Max put midi timpanis and string pads underneath the vocals and the whole sentiment of the song clicked into place for us.”
Cunningham adds, “I’m a genuine fan of Whitney. When the band sent me this song, it was a no brainer that I wanted to sing on it. It’s not often that I’m stopped in my tracks by a song.”
Whitney will support Small Talk with a world tour that includes a North American headline run kicking off March 7, 2026 in Seattle, with stops in Toronto and Montréal at the tail end of the tour in April. Tickets are available now via whitneytheband.com/shows.
