Slow Pulp Share New Single “Spill” Ahead of New Album Melodie

Madison-bred, Chicago-based indie rock band Slow Pulp have shared their new single and video, “Spill.” The track is the final preview of the band’s upcoming album, Melodie, out September 18 via ANTI-.
“Spill” was one of the first songs written during the Yard sessions, but it found its place on the new album after producer Elliot Kozel joined the project. Built around dreamy guitars, muted textures and a steady indie rock pulse, the song explores casual relationships, emotional distance and the fear of saying how you really feel.
Slow Pulp’s Emily Massey and Henry Stoehr share writing duties across Melodie, which also blends power pop, acoustic songwriting and expansive guitar-driven arrangements. The album follows the band’s acclaimed 2023 record, Yard.
The band will support Melodie with a North American and UK/EU tour this fall and winter. Slow Pulp will perform at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall on November 16 with Her New Knife.
