Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats Announce New Album ii, Share “The Difference” with Yebba

Denzel Curry and producer Kenny Beats have announced their new collaborative album, ii, due August 21 via Loma Vista Recordings. The nine-track project marks the long-awaited follow-up to the pair’s acclaimed 2020 release, UNLOCKED.

Alongside the announcement, the duo have shared “The Difference,” a new single featuring Grammy-winning singer Yebba. The track introduces a more focused and reflective side of their collaboration while retaining the unpredictable energy that defined UNLOCKED.

ii also features appearances from JPEGMAFIA and Westside Gunn. The album was created using a stripped-down setup that included an SP-404 beat machine and a basic microphone, with Curry and Beats pushing each other through the creative process.

Curry and Beats have both continued to expand their influence since UNLOCKED. Curry recently launched the rap collective The Scythe, while Beats has produced music for artists including IDLES, Geese, Rico Nasty and Show Me The Body.
